any recommendations?!?!

next week we are heading to las vegas. i have been there at least 1/2 a dozen times, but sadly it's been about 5 or 6 years since my last visit.

with that said...anyone have any recommendations? places to shop? places to visit? favorite restaurants? best places to spot celebrities? best views of the vegas? best places for sushi and seafood? etc.

  1. How fun!! Take the time to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower at night... The view is AWESOME!!!! If you're anything like J. and I we LOVE buffets! There was a deal where you bought a pass every day and it was good for 24 hours of access to 7 different buffets!!!! We tried almost every one!!! Our favorite for breakfast - The Paris Buffet, Lunch - Caesar's Palace Buffet, and dinner - Planet Hollywood!!!! They had such a great variety of foods! And shows? You should definitely see Penn & Teller at the Rio. That show was the best we saw!!! Hope this was helpful! Have fun!!!!

  4. I used to do sales and marketing for LV shows and attractions. That was a few years ago, but some of the stuff I liked is still there. I saw Le Reve (a cirque type show created by the same man who created cirque) and it was AMAZING! Zumanity is also kind of fun and a little dirty! They also have Blue Man Group out there and if you've never seen a BMG show, its fun and different and you should at least once in your life!

If you're looking for something to do that is amazing, there are helicopter trips through the grand canyon. I've never done this, but I've heard from everyone that it's AMAZING! That's all I got... have fun!

  5. Have so much fun getting pampered! We stayed at THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay. The spa there was amazing. We went to the awesome rooftop restaurant there and the decorations were out of this world...great views of the strip too!

  6. The Aria shops are a must see. Many of the top designers in the world have FlagShip shops there. It is like a trip to a museum to see the full lines of many of our favorite designers and to be able to actually see them in real life is quite an education ;)
A Cosmopolitan at The Cosmopolitan in the Crystal Bar is a nice place to relax after your educational tour of the Aria.
As far as celebrities go, you might catch Martha Stewart at the Cosmopolitan back for some R&R...She loved it there and said she was going to go back.
Again, in the Cosmo, at the top of the east escalators on the second floor there is a funky mens shop. My daughter-in-law poked around in there and discovered a little bar in the back of it that you can host events at or just enjoy a cocktail at their hide-away bar.
The sushi place on the third floor of the Cosmo is very good.
We saw Luv at Mandalay Bay and enjoyed it but my friend that just got back from Las Vegas saw Celine's show at Ceasar's and said it was the best show she has ever seen and she goes to a lot of shows.
We had a late dinner at the Eifel Tower Restaurant in The Paris after the show that was fabulous and the view of the Bellagio and its fountains was, I think, the best view in town.
    Hope this helps.

  9. We got married in Vegas last summer (totally planned!) and we LOVE it! We stayed at Trump International and the Venetian and liked them both a ton. I think our favorite places to eat were Margaritaville and Firefly which in in the Plaza in downtown Vegas. Firefly was SOOOO yummy (and affordable) and Margaritaville was just so much fun! Have fun!!!
