this morning i ventured over to the outlet mall and saw this adorable t-shirt at LACOSTE. sadly, they did not have my size in stock. maybe i will have better luck if i stop at the outlets while i am in las vegas next week.

nothing says preppy like a gator!

by the time i left the outlet mall for oakbrook it was 84 degrees! yoooowza...so much for spring! ha! ha! lucky, for us this hike in temps is only temporary! i'd like to enjoy some more 60/70 degree weather before the hot and humid weather returns!

needless to say, it was a hot one here in chicago! thank god for this chocolate malt storm from the cafe at NORDSTROM.

so glad we did the chicago "tourist" thing yesterday! we had family in town from michigan and ventured all over! it was kind of fun to be a tourist in my own town....and YES, my feet were sore! you'd think after all these years i would know what shoes to wear, duh!

here i am looking up at the john hancock. i saw lots of tourists taking photos, so why not! lol!

here's a view from the signature room on the 95th floor! it was SOOOOOO cloudy yesterday, kind of bummed we couldn't enjoy the fabulous view otherwise.

of course, on our way back down i had to point out were we sat the night my husband proposed to me years ago. it was a fabulous night that will stick with me forever. dinner at the signature room on the 95th, a bottle of dom perignon, a dozen of roses, a beautiful diamond ring and a carriage ride around chicago. oh what a night it was!

we even ventured over to lego land! unfortunately, the boys were much for shopping! that's okay, i do enough damage on my own...ya, think?!?! lol!

then we ventured to another "tourist" trap over at navy pier.

it's nice to play "tourist" every now and then! after all, chicago is such a wonder place to live and visit!
