any recommendations?!?!

next week we are heading to las vegas. i have been there at least 1/2 a dozen times, but sadly it's been about 5 or 6 years since my last visit.

with that said...anyone have any recommendations? places to shop? places to visit? favorite restaurants? best places to spot celebrities? best views of the vegas? best places for sushi and seafood? etc.

tomorrow, i am getting my haircut, getting a manicure and pedicure. should be fun, nothing like a little pampering! ha! ha!

so excited....the monogrammed letter box i ordered from marye-kelley decoupage arrived this afternoon! expensive little bugger with shipping and presonalization, but i love it!

actually, if you look at the image from their website [shown below] it has a brass-like finish on the rim. as you can tell my letter box has a silver finish. i actually like the silver finish, since it matches my desk assessories!

now if only i had a 2nd! one to keep downstairs near the kitchen where my husband drops off all the mail and one for my desk, lol!

well, i couldn't resist buying just one, so i bought two. ha! ha!

before i show you which two tunics i bought, check out this beautiful sailor dress....so cute! can't you picture your mini in this dress!

i also made it over to NORDSTROM RACK and purchased yet another BURBERRY quilted jacket over at nordstrom rack. yeah, it was too good of a deal to pass up! ha! ha!

the tunics retail for $69.50/each, but were on SALE for $39.99! so if you want one, get there fast! i doubt they will be around long!

...yeah, i have problems! lol!

this morning i ventured over to the outlet mall and saw this adorable t-shirt at LACOSTE. sadly, they did not have my size in stock. maybe i will have better luck if i stop at the outlets while i am in las vegas next week.

nothing says preppy like a gator!

by the time i left the outlet mall for oakbrook it was 84 degrees! yoooowza...so much for spring! ha! ha! lucky, for us this hike in temps is only temporary! i'd like to enjoy some more 60/70 degree weather before the hot and humid weather returns!

needless to say, it was a hot one here in chicago! thank god for this chocolate malt storm from the cafe at NORDSTROM.

so glad we did the chicago "tourist" thing yesterday! we had family in town from michigan and ventured all over! it was kind of fun to be a tourist in my own town....and YES, my feet were sore! you'd think after all these years i would know what shoes to wear, duh!

here i am looking up at the john hancock. i saw lots of tourists taking photos, so why not! lol!

here's a view from the signature room on the 95th floor! it was SOOOOOO cloudy yesterday, kind of bummed we couldn't enjoy the fabulous view otherwise.

of course, on our way back down i had to point out were we sat the night my husband proposed to me years ago. it was a fabulous night that will stick with me forever. dinner at the signature room on the 95th, a bottle of dom perignon, a dozen of roses, a beautiful diamond ring and a carriage ride around chicago. oh what a night it was!

we even ventured over to lego land! unfortunately, the boys were much for shopping! that's okay, i do enough damage on my own...ya, think?!?! lol!

then we ventured to another "tourist" trap over at navy pier.

it's nice to play "tourist" every now and then! after all, chicago is such a wonder place to live and visit!
