tomorrow we are having the "inspection" on the place we are hoping to purchase. still waiting on the bank, since it is a short sale! hopefully, the seller's bank agrees to our offer and we can proceed with closing! our attorney said we probably won't be closing until april, most likely may. argh!!!! so not a fan of short sales, lol!

so excited, my husband purchased my valentine's gift:

too bad, i have to wait until tomorrow to see what JO MALONE perfume he bought me!

CALDREA love their products! plum nutmeg is definitely one my favorite scents!

my second favorite is water lilly. this scent is heavenly and when it you can actually smell the scent! i hate it when i spend good money on candles, only to find out when they are lit that i can't smell anything, argh!!!

i'm also loving my new kindle fire, which i bought a few weeks ago, i thought it would be perfect to take on vacation.

can't wait to take it with me when i go to florida next month!

finally, i am so excited to finally start painting and decorating!

we put an offer on a 4th place this past week and our offer was accepted! yeah!!!! now we just need to have the attorney review the contract, as the property is a short sale. once he's reviewed the contract, we will schedule the inspection. hopefully it all works out!

so excited!!!!

nothing is better than walking into HOMEGOODS and walking out with a fabulous piece of furniture!

last night i wondered over to HOMEGOODS and came across this beautiful ottoman from SOUTHERN FURNITURE CO. in conover, nc.

the fabric will work, but eventually i am going to have it reupholstered to match the pillows i am having made over at CALICO CORNERS.

well, seems like a new week, a new offer on the table! ugh, i am so ready to just buy a place and be done with it! this isn't the 1st, 2nd, but this will be the 3rd place we will be purchasing! fingers crossed we get this one! after all, this is the 4 offer we've put on the table this time around...our poor realtor, lol!

oh well, have you tried these at CostCo? omg, they are amazing! they are perfect lightly toasted with a just a little bit of butter! they taste like a cross between a bagel and english oven.

i've only tried the MORNING ROUNDS cranberry orange. i'd be curious if they come in any other flavors!

if you haven't tried them, i highly recommend you should! yum!!!!

just a little longer...

everyday i get out of my car and almost bump into the big box from SOCIETY SOCIAL.

yup, that is the same box that my amazing stanton bar cart came in!

unfortunately, the bar cart is going to have to stay boxed up yet a little longer! UGH!!! sucks, i know!

we lost the bid we put on a foreclosure this week!  i'm still pretty bummed!!! this is the 3rd place we bid on that we were eventually out bid! seriously, i thought it was a buyers market!

the saddest thing, everything i like has gone pending within a day or two! so much for being a buyers market in chicago! too bad most of the crap out there is just that CRAP!

ugh, so our searching continues....

on a happier note, i booked tickets for florida in march! can't wait to bring out my jack rogers!!!

yeah, i have a slight addiction and i've actually bought about 5 more pairs since this photo was taken! LOL!

so who will you be cheering for at the super bowl? i have to go with the NY giants!  really, i don't care! wish my lions made it, but there's always next year! ha! ha!
