TRADESY ...familiar with this website?

Curious, anyone familiar with TRADESY?
I am seriously thinking about selling a few items on their website. The commission/fee structure is fair, less than what i would pay to a consignment shop! Curious if anyone has bought or sold on their website? They sell tons of Lilly Pulitzer, Jack Rogers, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch, burberry, etc.
I love that once an item has been purchased the shipping box is set to your house, you assemble the shipment, sent the item out and get paid once the item is scanned in transit to the buyer. Hassle-free returns as well! Here's a link to their website: TRADESY - Check it out! Thanks, PLD

Finally!!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We had a great time back in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, spent some great quality time with my family.

This year my Mom bought a kosher Turkey from Trader Joe's and it was probably the best turkey we've had in years. Super moist, not dry and not full of salt and other crap. Needless to day, the meal was great! We all know, nothing beats a home cooked meal by Mom!

Oh well, I've been search a new brown riding boot for some time. I really wanted a chestnut color, thought I wanted a pair of Frye Melissa Riding Boots, but I didn't like the fit. Boo!  I ended up purchasing a pair of Bristol Riding Boots from Tory Burch.

At least the search is over for now. LOL!

Also, curious if anyone knows who makes the calendar below? I know it was expensive when I bought it and want to get another one for next year, but can't remember who makes it? Anyone?

Oh well, hope you all find some great deals on this Cyber Monday! I have a Vineyard Vines and a Tory Burch gift card to use up!

Happy Shopping!

Craiglist find...

Last night I decided to surf Craigslist for the fun of it! Well, to my surprise I came across this adorable Bamboo side table. Isn't it adorable! I am thinking of painting it black, although it would look great in either pink or green.
Funny thing, I don't have a place for it in my house, but for $35 it was too good of a deal to pass up! Sorry for the lack of posting, life has been busy! Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving if I don't post again until after the Holiday. ~ PLD

Jo Malone...

Anyone else a huge fan of Jo Malone?

My favorite scent combination is Wild Bluebell. I also like English Pear & Freesia and a few months ago I bought Lemon Tart, which was is Limited Edition scent.

At first I didn't understand the concept of mixing scents, but it works. I thought it was just a way to sell more perfume! In reality it is, but it works!

Do you have a favorite Jo Malone scent combination? If so, what is it?

I'm interested in checking out new combinations!

Shopping finds....

Hopefully you had a fabulous weekend! I did!

Tonight I made a fabulous alcohol concoction. I forgot to pick up Mint, so I couldn't make a Watermelon Mojito! :(

Instead, I mixed some Pink Lemonade, Malibu Rum, Simple Syrup and Watermelon together over ice.....YUMMMM!!!!!  Very tasty, I might add!

Any Mojito fans out there?  Curious, what's your favorite Mojito?

Oh well, tonight we had BBQ chicken. Has anyone tried the Spiced Honey-Citrus BBQ Sauce from Williams-Sonoma? It's pretty pricey in my mind (for BBQ sauce), even on SALE I paid $11.99 for a bottle...LOL!

In any case, this BBQ sauce is AMAZING!!! Not sure if they still have it in stock, if they do you should definitely try it! YUMMMMMM!!!!

Also, over the past 24 hours I went to Talbot's on 4 different occasions, LOL! They had an additional 50% off SALE prices! Needless to say, I stocked up! ;)

I bought 4 pairs of signature twill capri pants, 4 pairs of Twill shorts, 2 3/4 length t-shirts and a blouse.

Of course, when I took the original photo I only showed 3 pairs of shorts. Forgot about the Green pair until I went to put them away, LOL!

The Fashion Outlet Mall of Chicago or whatever the name is, opened this weekend! I SO was tempted to make it out there, but didn't want to deal with the crowds! Ummmm, no thanks!

They have lots of great stores.... Tory Burch, Gucci, Prada, Longchamp, Original Penguin, AllSaints, Burberry (opening soon), Calypso St. Barth, and the usual outlet stores. Can't wait to check it out, but I am definitely going to wait! After all, it's not going anywhere and it's not a far drive from our house. LOL!

Oh well, hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Argh!!!!!!!!!

So not a happy camper folks!

You know how I previously posted about the cute Naples chest of drawers I ordered. Well, it arrived yesterday and I was super excited because I just ordered it on Tuesday.

Well, to my surprise it arrived in PIECES!

SERIOUSLY, the information specifically stated SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED!

Really!?!?!

Oh, I AM SO pissed!

Why didn't they say ASSEMBLY REQUIRED, argh!!!!!
If I wanted to put a frickin' dresser together I would have ordered one from IKEA! Ugh!!!!!!!!

Needless to say I have a fun project ahead of me, NOT!

Wish me luck, ugh!!!!!!!

Fabulous Finds...

I have to say, I am very impressed with the SALES over at JOSS & MAIN. Awhile back I bought this adorable shelving unit:

I have to admit, when it arrived I thought it would be complete. Nope, assembly required. Obviously, I missed that in the description. LOL! Luckily, it was super easy to make and turned out great! Last night I bought this awesome Naples Chest over at JOSS & MAIN as well. The description says, partial assembly. I wonder what that means, LOL!
Can't wait to see what other great finds JOSS & MAIN has up their sleeves! If you aren't a member of JOSS & MAIN, feel free to click HERE. SALES are private and membership is FREE! Have a great day! ~ PLD

Ahhhhhh!

Good Morning!

How's the weather near you? It's around 65 degrees and rather gloomy here in Chicago.

That's okay, as long as I can still wear my Jack Rogers Black Label Navajo sandals, it's all good! LOL!

This morning I decided to change things up and take a break from all my Louis Vuitton and Gucci purses and use one of my vintage Kate Spade purses. I bought the purse back in '99 or maybe it was '00 over at Neiman Marcus? Can't remember, I haven't used it in years.

Isn't it cute! I loved usigng it back when I was obsessed with Kate Spade back in the late 90's.

I just love the black and white stripes and the red leather under the strap and also on the bottom of the purse. Such a fun little purse, I should use it more often!

Have a wonderful Friday!

Taking another stab at blogging...

Hey there, hope you are enjoying the Summer!

It's be a hot one here in Chicago! So the cooler temps this week has been nice! No complaints here, LOL!

I have decided to take another stab a posting on my blog.

On the note, here's a sneak peak of my desk at my new house:

Yup, I have been pretty much painting and decorating since October, hence my blog hiatus!

Not to mention, we adopted a puppy back in November and the little guy has taken up much of my time. The little guy turned 1 a couple of weeks ago. Yes, we had a birthday party for him, LOL! Ordered invitations from www.paperstyle.com and the whole 9 yards! Good time had be all!

Hard to believe July is almost over and August is around the corner!

Oh well, just thought I would pop in and say, "Hello!"

about time...

sorry, can't believe it's been almost 2 months since my last post!

yikes!!!! at least it's been for a good reason, i guess? lol! during this time we closed on our new house and have since moved in. we are not completed unpacked, but that will come with time.

we've had quite a bit of work around the house. we also had the carpet pulled up in the bedrooms on the 2nd floor and had all the hardwood floors one the 1st and 2nd floors sanded and stained. so nice to have hardwood floors again!!!

i've also been busy picking out paint colors. pretty much everything i have chosen and have used is from benjamin moore. can't for the life of me remember any of the names at the moment. i will post about that later.

our kitchen is still a work in progress. we bought new bosch stainless appliances that have been installed for a couple of weeks, but haven't been able to use them since we don't have any countertops and a sink. thankfully, the granite will be installed on friday! so ready to start cooking again!

as promised, below is an image of the moving announcement i created at www.paperstyle.com. great company! can't beat the speedy shipping either! if anyone has any discount codes for this company, i would love to use them for my christmas cards. hint! hint! ;)

sorry, you can see the fabulous font i used for our name. i also covered up a new address for obvious reasons. i love it! i think it turned out great!

oh well, i promise to resume to my normal blogging shortly.

take care and stay safe, esp. if you are in sandy's path! unfortunately she's heading our way!

later!

another fabulous recipe thanks to pinterest!!!!

well, well, well, looks who's posting for the 3rd time this week!

anyway, as if you didn't already know i am obsessed with pinterest!

well, tonight i made a summer corn cakes recipe with salsa that i actually found on LAUREN CONRAD's pinterest page.

of course, i had to stop at whole foods and pick up a few ingredients:
i'll be honest, i have never made corn cakes before. so the thought of putting corn in a food processor was a little strange to me! lol!
the recipe is super easy to make though, even though i tweaked the recipe a little. for example, i added some cilantro to the mix and instead of buttermilk i used milk and chobani greek yogurt.

then into the pan, with my fish spatula from williams-sonoma. if i had to pick one kitchen item i couldn't live without aside from the obvious wusthof knife set, all-clad pans, kitchen aid stand mixer [a MUST for every bridal registry that i still NEVER use!], my "must have" dualit toaster, etc... the one item i couldn't live without is my fish spatula! def. worth the $30.00!

note to self: i probably should have made the avocado and salsa mix  prior to making the corn cakes, but in the end it really didn't matter.  ha! ha!

finally, a photo of my version of summer corn cakes with salsa. yum!!!!

if you would like the recipe you can find it (and ME) on PINTEREST by clicking on the photo link below:

def. worth trying and the recipe makes a lot of corn cakes! anyone know if you can freeze the recipe? the recipe says you can store it in the fridge for up to 2 days? anyone?!?!!

yum! yum! yum! plus, a serena & lily score!

curious, if anyone else out there is fan of jason's deli?

jason's deli has locations all over the u.s. currently, i am obsessed with their fruit dip! omg, this stuff is amazing! wish i had a recipe so i could make my own! lol!

anyway, i had their califonia club for lunch - guac on the side, of course!  too bad, i waited until i was pretty much done with my meal to snap a photo.

oh well, check it out www.jasonsdeli.com and if you haven't tried their fruit dip you should! it's delish!

almost forgot, anyone score any deals over at the SERENA & LILY SALE event over at ONE KINGS LANE today?

i did, thought i was too late...waited a few minutes, b/c the GOBI SHOWER CURTAIN i wanted in NAVY was in someone else's basket. hate it when that happens, argh!!!! sure enough, i waited long enough and it magically came available ....SCORE!!!!

[photo credit: ONE KINGS LANE website]

as if i need another shower curtain, sheesh! lol!
